Pastures - Forage, Fences and Fertility

  • Ashford Heights Farm 1 Ashford Heights Adams, MA, 01220 United States (map)

Join us for a day of pasture! Pasture management offers producers opportunity to improve animal health and performance, decrease feed costs, and improve the quality of our finished product. There are few resources available for producers in our region to learn and understand the power of grazing management, and we are excited to provide a seminar dedicated to mastering this powerful tool. Please join us December 15, 2019, for a program led by Phyllis VanAmburgh. Fee for the program (including lunch) is $30.00. RSVP to emma@sheepinwoolclothing.com

Phyllis runs dharma Lea, a 100% grassfed dairy, with her husband Paul and their five children. dharma Lea was one of the early adopters of 100% grassfed dairy production in the United States, and has pioneered the production model, including the Madre' Method. Educated with a masters degree in Occupational Therapy and two bachelors degrees in OT and biology, and a supplemental degree in European Studies from the University of Antwerp, she brings this breadth of knowledge base and passion to her farming practice, to her grazing and management seminars and speaking engagements, to her writing for national trade publications, and to the work she and Paul do together supporting the Maple Hill Creamery producer group.
